My name is Andrew; I'm 36 years old and I'm looking for a short-term living situation while I pursue earning my Private Pilot's License in Hurricane, UT. I am looking for (*hopefully*) lower-cost housing from January 15 - April 30, before I return back to Alaska for my summer job.
A little about me: I graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Biology and spent 10 years working in corporate healthcare before leaving my career in late 2021. I discovered seasonal tour-guiding in 2023 and have spent the past 3 summers living and working in Juneau, Alaska, as a seasonal tour guide. It has been so much fun! It is now my dream to become a Commercial Air Tourism & Bush Pilot in Alaska. I have a friend who is a Certified Flight Instructor in St. George who I would like to train with. I anticipate being able to complete my training in 2-3 months if I really put my nose to the grindstone.
I am a very kind, gentle, and relaxed person. I get along with everyone and I don't hold any strong opinions. I'm pretty agreeable and open-minded. I am tolerant and accepting of everyone. I am an avid outdoorsman - my passions in life are hiking and backpacking. I spend as much time as I can outside, in nature, with my 9 year old lab, Quinn. She is a sweetheart and very well-behaved.
If you have something available, or know anyone who does, please let me know! I've heard it is difficult to find housing in the greater St. George area - I'm hopeful there's somebody out there willing to lend a helping hand to get this aspiring pilot off the ground ;)
