I'm a mechanical engineer who has done a lot of Solidworks 3D CAD design and simulation looking for FT/PT work. I've also done autocad plans for building add ons and modifications. I'm open to sales or marketing as well I'm also a pretty good writer so if you have a need for that let me know. I can do telecommute work as I've used Zoom/Webex for this purpose before and am equipped to do it. I am open to out of the area relocation for the right opportunities. I am fully mobile and have a workstation laptop with Solidworks 2016 and Autocad LT 2017, MSOFFICE 2013, NitroPDF as well as other useful and typical programs. I'm also an artist since a very young age, mostly drawing, painting and a little sculpture.

An initial phone conversation will be necessary before any on site visits will be made so as not to waste time and expense. In smaller piece work there is a minimum number of hours or charge. Computational Fluid Dynamics(thermal flow) and other in-depth analysis is at higher rates than regular 2d/3d CAD work.

I have worked in aeronautical(airships, airline brake systems, Cessna(177, 182, 172) small craft), consumer, magnetics, water feature, computer graphics cards, industrial refrigeration and digital cinema applications areas in engineering roles and have plenty of broad experience in other fields. I am excellent in research, design and analysis with spreadsheets and other software. I have worked for over 10 years with Solidworks(Advanced) but have worked with most CAD programs like 2D AutoCad(intermediate), some Catia/Unigraphics(slightly above Beginner) and am pretty knowledgeable about PC computers in general. I'm primarily a 3D CAD modeler using Solidworks but have used various versions of Autocad over the years for basic 2D drafting work within the model window. Things like single parts and schematics and normal level of typical Autocad work. I'm not an expert at layouts or xrefs but am certainly willing to learn.
I can import pdf drawings and edit them directly(Autocad LT), 3d pdf, photoview work for product visualization, sales and promotional purposes. BOM's, illustrated parts catalogs, install/assembly instructions and other technical documents. ANSI Y14.5 dimension and tolerance etc.
I've done thermal CFD with Solidworks Flow Simulation(and the electronics cooling module within that CFD program) and also structural analysis with Cosmos(basic). I have been employed in machine shops and manufacturing environments including hands on machining with conventional machines while in college, a brief stint as a HAAS CNC mill operator in college, industrial wood and paint shop work for 2 years while in junior college and plenty of contracts. I've done basic sheet metal CAD work as well. Basic structural analysis via Solidworks built in solver.
I have a lot of experience with file format conversion like parasolid, STEP, CAT, dwg, dxf, stl etc etc. I can provide 3D CAD files for 3D printing as well. I have training through Go Engineer with PDM Works, Solidworks Flow Simulation, Applied Materials(semiconductor manuf.) Copy Exact training, EMI/EMC Mitigation Techniques training from G&M Compliance in Irvine, CA as well as Made2Manage basic training.
