You must have shelter and pens and other goats or take two of them.
These are herd animals and do not do well by themselves.

FYI- Best fencing is horse wire with pallets between pens so that the goats can't destroy your fence by rubbing and head butting.
You will get a much longer winded version of this when you call the husband. Just agree and come get some goats.
