Adorable 2013 Mini Cooper S convertible. A few small cosmetic blemishes that affect nothing and don't look bad (such as the rubber around the back window and the blinker light is missing on the front right side). If you're like me, this tiny stuff doesn't bother you at all. Moon roof/convertible top works great. No leaks that I've noticed (I've only had it since July). The interior is brown leather (maybe pleather, I'm not sure) with baby blue stripes, and the car itself is metallic brown with baby blue racing stripes. I paid $9500 in July, and immediately put 2k into it, so some important parts are brand spankin' new.
There is one issue with it, but again, it's not something I care about, personally, and it just depends on what kind of driver you are. It is a S turbo model, and the turbocharger needs to be replaced. They quoted me 5k, but it 100% something I don't give a crap about, so I didn't bother to fix it (and still wouldn't if I were keeping the car). I am sure you know what the turbocharger does, but if you don't, it's basically the part that makes it "sporty," that gives it its "oomph." I am not an "oomph" driver. I mostly only drive to work and back, which is maybe 10 minutes on the highway, I am not a speeder ("get over, grandma!"), and I don't go up a lot of big hills. I asked the mechanic how important this repair was. He said it would just be a huge difference when I'm going up hills and stuff, in the amount of power it would have. Again, I don't need 0-60 in 3 seconds speed, or any of this kind of stuff. If you feel the same, there is nothing else wrong with the car. If you like to speed or crave turbo "oomph," this is, obviously, not the car for you, UNLESS you are willing to put in money to fix it. My mechanic friend said you can get a used turbocharger at a junkyard for like $150, and then you'd just have to pay labor, which would be a lot cheaper than what the expensive European repair shop quoted me. So, it's up to you if you want to invest a bit in making it "zippier," or not spend any more money and just have a top down, adorable, cruising the road car.
Under the hood is exceptionally clean.
The center arm rest is off, and I have been unable to get it back on. It does exist, I just can't get it back on. Maybe you can.
Single CD player. I connected to Spotify on my cellphone via the cigarette lighter plug, so you can listen to music that way. Harmon Kardon speakers, so the sound is amazing, even when the top is down. It also is supposed to connect to your phone, but I have never tried that, so I won't speak to the quality of that.
There is an openometer, which is a silly, niche, fun little exclusive gauge that "tracks current top-down driving time, displayed on the tachometer in hours and minutes." Super random feature, but also cute and is meant to encourage drivers to spend more time with the top down and the wind through their hair! Or on their bald head, whatever floats your boat!
I can give you the receipt of the repair work I had done (water pump and O2 sensor replaced, I believe). I can show you copies of the CarFax prior to the work I had done, and then you'd have a receipt of what I had done, which will show up on the CarFax from AFTER I had the work done.
I believe in full disclosure so all the problems it has are ones I listed....the turbocharger and the center armrest not being attached. Sometimes the little fob is stubborn going in the slot, but it just takes a few tries. There is only one fob. Windows go down great, top goes down great, doors lock/unlock great, headlights work great, cruise control is awesome, AC is ice cold, brake lights, etc. Everything is in working order AS FAR AS I AM AWARE. Any additional issues would be ones I haven't noticed, so it's highly doubtful there are any other issues. No issues are being intentionally omitted.
I also replaced the windshield and the windshield wipers, so they are new and beautiful.
Occasionally, the check engine light comes on where the speedometer is (as in, not the actual warning light location). The mechanic said it has to do with the turbocharger needing to be replaced, nothing else. However, any time I have driven it in the last couple of months, the light has not come on at all, and it's been smooth sailing in every way.
This is a very fun car. I am only selling it to save money to upgrade to a new model of the same car. I am very short, and really need a backup camera since I can't see over the backseats, and this car does NOT have a backup camera. You can research everything it does have. I wouldn't be selling this one if it had the safety features I want.
You must pick up in Kanab. I might be able to meet halfway, Colorado City/Hildale-ish. I would have title and copy of the repair receipt in hand. Clean title. The CarFax doesn't indicate any accidents/damage done at any point, and there are no red flags on the CarFax at all.
If there is anything in particular you want a better picture of, I'd be happy to get one.
